I take a holistic approach to life and this site focuses on taking care of my pets in the same manner. When you hear "heartworms" it can cause great anxiety among many because we think a dog who contracts such a parasite has just been assigned a death sentence as many may want us to believe. With "preventatives" being sold at record numbers nowadays, why is it that dogs continue to get heartworms and other parasites? The answer? Weakened immune systems caused by poor diet, over vaccinating and overuse of drugs and chemicals make our pets perfect hosts for parasites.
